About Sundown (Cassowary Coast - Qld)
Sundown is a rural locality approximately 3 kilometres north of Innisfail, bounded by the Johnstone River to the north and east and the North Coast railway line to the west. The landscape is flat tropical lowland dominated by sugar cane farming, with cane tramways running to the local sugar mill. It lies within the wet tropics region, close to the World Heritage-listed rainforest and the Great Barrier Reef.
