About Peeramon
Peeramon is a rural town and locality in the Tablelands Region of Far North Queensland, about 5 kilometres north-east of Malanda on the Atherton Tablelands. The landscape features lush dairy farms and remnant rainforest within the Wet Tropics bioregion, and Mount Quincan, an extinct cinder cone volcano rising to 889 metres, is a prominent landmark in the north-west of the locality. The Johnstone River bounds the area to the south-east, and Lake Eacham and Lake Barrine, both crater lakes, lie nearby.
