About Yungaburra

Yungaburra is a rural town and locality in the Tablelands Region of Queensland, Australia, located 67 kilometres south-west of Cairns on the Atherton Tableland at 750 metres elevation. Established in 1886, the town features a volcanic landscape with crater lakes and volcanic cones. It has several heritage-listed sites including St Patrick's Church (1914), and is near the famous Curtain Fig Tree, a towering strangler fig.
