About Maalan
Maalan is a rural locality on the Atherton Tablelands in Far North Queensland, at an elevation of about 900 metres. It is dairy farming country in the high-rainfall uplands, bordering Maalan National Park and Tully Falls National Park. The area was developed for dairy production through group settlement schemes in the 1950s.
