About Palmerston (Qld)

Palmerston is a rural locality in far north Queensland, split between the Tablelands and Cassowary Coast regions and believed to be named after explorer Christie Palmerston. The Palmerston Highway runs through it, winding through the rainforest of Wooroonooran National Park.
