About Hull Heads

Hull Heads is a coastal town on the southern headland at the mouth of the Hull River, approximately 21 kilometres south-east of Tully. The town was renamed from Googarra in 1963 and takes its name from surveyor Alfred Arthur Hull who worked in the area from 1870 to 1872, sitting on the Coral Sea coast near Tully Heads.
