About Ellis Beach
Ellis Beach is a coastal locality in the Cairns Region of Queensland, a five-kilometre strip along the Coral Sea 20 km north of Cairns on the Captain Cook Highway between Cairns and Port Douglas. The locality is in Djabugay (Tjapukai) traditional country and extends offshore to include Double Island and Haycock Island. It is home to a surf lifesaving club, camping ground and bar and grill.
