About Bloomfield

Bloomfield is a rural town and coastal locality in Far North Queensland, split between the Shire of Cook and the Shire of Douglas and named after the Bloomfield River, which passes through the locality to its mouth on the Coral Sea. Most of the development is in Ayton, on the northern bank of the river near its mouth, on the Bloomfield Track between Cooktown and Cape Tribulation.
