About Taringa
Taringa is a leafy inner-western suburb of Brisbane, about 6.8 km southwest of the CBD, characterised by hilly terrain and a ridge along Swann Road. Predominantly residential with a small commercial strip along Moggill Road, it is popular among students and young professionals due to its proximity to the University of Queensland and Queensland University of Technology. The suburb borders Mt Coot-tha and is served by Taringa train station on the Ipswich/Springfield rail line.
