About Riverhills

Riverhills is a residential suburb in the City of Brisbane, Queensland, located 19.5 kilometres south-west of the Brisbane CBD. One of the Centenary suburbs, it was developed from 1959 as part of the Hooker Centenary Project on former Wolston Estate land and named in January 1973. The name reflects its position on rises overlooking the Brisbane River, which forms the western boundary, with Wolston Creek to the south. The hilly terrain rises from below 10 metres beside the river to over 40 metres inland. Many streets are named after waterways of the world.
