About Bellbowrie
Bellbowrie is a western riverside suburb in the City of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, on the northern side of the Brisbane River about 17 kilometres (11 mi) west-southwest of the city centre. The suburb began as a housing estate in the 1970s, its name thought to derive from an Aboriginal expression meaning a place of flowering gums. It retains a leafy, semi-rural character with riverside reserves.
