About Robertson (Qld)
Robertson is an outer southern suburb of the City of Brisbane, Queensland, located 13.7 kilometres south of Brisbane CBD. Named in 1967 by the Queensland Place Names Board, it honours Dr William Nathaniel Robertson (1866-1938), a University of Queensland Senate member and foundation member of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. Bounded by Kessels Road, Mains Road, McCullough Street, and Troughton Road, the suburb is predominantly residential. Sunnybank Plaza and Robertson State School are notable local features.
