About Kuraby
Kuraby is an outer southern suburb of Brisbane, about 16 km southeast of the CBD, known for its highly multicultural community with significant Indian, Chinese, South African and Korean populations. The name derives from an Aboriginal word meaning "a place of many springs," and the suburb is positioned between the Brisbane and Logan Rivers with 19 parks covering nearly 16 per cent of its area. It is served by Kuraby railway station on the Beenleigh line.
