About Chandler (Qld)

Chandler is an outer south-eastern suburb of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, located 16 kilometres from the CBD. Named after Sir John Beals Chandler, Lord Mayor of Brisbane and founder of the Chandler's retail chain, the suburb was gazetted in 1975. It is home to the Sleeman Sports Complex, a venue for the 1982 Commonwealth Games and the 2032 Olympic Games, and the Queensland State Equestrian Centre.
