About Muirhead
Muirhead is a northern suburb of Darwin, Northern Territory, on the traditional Country of the Larrakia people. Named after James Muirhead AC, Royal Commissioner into Aboriginal Deaths in Custody, the area was part of Lee Point until gazetted as a separate suburb in 2004. Residential development commenced in 2011 on a former World War II signalling station site.
