About Herbert
Herbert is an outer rural locality of Darwin in the Litchfield Municipality, Northern Territory, located 44 kilometres southeast of the Darwin central business district. Previously considered part of Humpty Doo, the locality is mostly rural in character and is situated near Benham and Benjamin Lagoons. Herbert is in the territory electorate of Goyder and the federal Division of Solomon. The locality adjoins Koolpinyah, Girraween, Humpty Doo, Lambells Lagoon and Black Jungle. The locality had a population of 1,730 at the 2016 census.
