About McMinns Lagoon
McMinns Lagoon is an outer rural area roughly 34 kilometres south-east of Darwin in the Litchfield Municipality. The locality centres on a 41-hectare recreation reserve containing a perched lagoon surrounded by open woodland and paperbark forest, making it one of the Territory's premier birdwatching sites. The reserve was restored by local volunteers from 1987 onward and offers walking tracks and picnic facilities.
