About Gunn
Gunn is an inner-city suburb of Palmerston in the Northern Territory, located 23 kilometres south-east of Darwin CBD on the traditional Country of the Larrakia people. Named after Mrs Jeannie Gunn, born in 1870 in Carlton, Melbourne, the suburb is mostly composed of developments from the 2000s and 2010s following Cyclone Tracy in 1974. Bounded by Temple Terrace, Chung Wah Terrace and Lambrick Avenue, Gunn had a population of 2,664 at the 2016 census and is served by the State electorate of Drysdale and the federal division of Solomon.
