About Gray (NT)
Gray is an inner suburb of Palmerston in the Northern Territory, located approximately 23 kilometres south-east of Darwin CBD and less than two kilometres from the Palmerston city centre. Established in the 1970s on the traditional Country and waterways of the Larrakia people, the suburb was named after William Henry Gray, who arrived in Adelaide in 1836 and came to Palmerston in 1870. With a population of around 3,288, Gray is a residential suburb bordered by Temple Terrace, Chung Wah Terrace and Emery Avenue, served by the State electorate of Drysdale and the federal division of Solomon.
