About Ellis Lane

Ellis Lane is a semi-rural suburb in the Macarthur Region of New South Wales, located 76 kilometres south-west of the Sydney CBD within Camden Council. Bounded by a large loop in the Nepean River, the area was originally known as Cobbitty Paddocks and retains a rural character with acreage allotments, natural forest and prestige homes set on large blocks. Named after Solomon Ellis who settled here in the 1850s, the suburb sits on a ridge line offering views across the surrounding landscape toward Camden.
