About Cawdor (NSW)

Cawdor is a historic village in the Wollondilly Shire, New South Wales, 65 kilometres south-west of Sydney near Camden. The first village in the Cowpastures district, it was named by Governor Macquarie in 1812 after his wife's Scottish family. The area retains colonial-era churches and cemeteries alongside rural residential and farming land.
