About Anabranch South
Anabranch South is a vast and sparsely populated outback locality in far western New South Wales, about 80 kilometres north of Broken Hill near the South Australian border. The landscape is defined by the Anabranch of the Darling River, a series of ephemeral creek channels branching off the main Darling River system, surrounded by arid red sand plains, mulga scrubland and saltbush flats.
