About Pomona (NSW)
Pomona is a small rural locality in far western New South Wales, situated near Wentworth at the junction of the Murray and Darling Rivers. Originally known as Seven Mile Point, the district was named after a farm holding owned by John Dunn, whose wife Catherine was born on the Orkney island of Pomona.
