About Tolbar

Tolbar is a small sparsely settled high-country locality in the Snowy Monaro area of New South Wales, between Bredbo and Adaminaby on the edge of Kosciuszko National Park. Its land is almost entirely national-park territory at the head of the upper Murrumbidgee watershed, and it retains traces of the historic summer grazing runs such as the ruined Tolbar Hut of 1934.
