About Anglers Reach
Anglers Reach is a small alpine village on the northern shore of Lake Eucumbene in the Snowy Mountains of New South Wales, about 10 km from Adaminaby and at an elevation above 1,000 metres. The village developed as a base for trout fishing, boating and the ski fields of Selwyn Snowfields, and snow regularly falls through winter. Lake Eucumbene, created by the Snowy Mountains Scheme in the 1950s, flooded the original Adaminaby town site, and when drought lowered the lake in the mid-2000s the remains of an old highway bridge re-emerged nearby.
