About Wanneroo
Wanneroo sits on the Swan Coastal Plain along the chain of freshwater lakes known as the Wanneroo wetlands, south of the Yellagonga Regional Park. Established as a pastoral settlement along the historic Wanneroo Road in the 1850s, the suburb is now a residential area centred on the Wanneroo Town Centre, with nearby Joondalup serving as the major commercial hub to the southwest.
