About Hocking
Hocking is an established residential suburb about 23 km north of Perth's CBD in the City of Wanneroo, named after Herbert Hocking, first chairman of the Wanneroo Road Board from 1903 to 1931. Part of Wanneroo until 1994, it features a mix of newer housing estates and remnant market gardens, with several local parks including Gungurru Park, Chesterfield Park and Hinckley Park. The suburb sits on flat to gently undulating land characteristic of the northern Perth coastal plain.
