About Karrinyup
Karrinyup is a northern suburb of Perth, 12 kilometres from the CBD in the City of Stirling. Its name derives from a Noongar word meaning 'the place where bush kangaroos graze', and rapid residential growth began in 1957. About one-third of the suburb is reserve or bushland, and it is home to the Lake Karrinyup Country Club.
