About Yarloop
Yarloop is a town in the South West region of Western Australia, on the South Western Highway between Waroona and Harvey. It was established in 1894 by the Millar brothers as a timber town, and its heritage workshops once maintained the steam locomotives of the Millars company's private railway network. On 7 January 2016 a major bushfire destroyed most of the town, including the workshops; the community has since been rebuilding.
