About Wagerup

Wagerup is a small town in the Peel region of Western Australia, about 12 kilometres south of Waroona on the South Western Highway. The area is known for the Alcoa Wagerup alumina refinery, one of the major industrial facilities in WA's South West, and the Nyungar place name is thought to mean the place of the emu.
