About Katrine
Katrine is a small rural locality in the Avon Wheatbelt of Western Australia, situated about 95 kilometres east of Perth near the town of Northam. The landscape features gently rolling plains typical of the Wheatbelt, with cereal farming and sheep grazing across open agricultural land. The area is home to the historic Katrine Homestead, a heritage-listed group of stone and brick buildings dating from the 1840s, including a convict-built barn from 1858.
