About Holyoake
Holyoake is a rural locality of the Shire of Murray in the Peel region of Western Australia, located within the Dwellingup State Forest on the traditional land of the Pindjarup people of the Noongar nation. Holyoake was for a time the terminus of the Dwellingup to Holyoake railway, completed in 1911, becoming a busy station serving a local sawmill and timber traffic until the line closed in 1961. The eastern part of the locality lies within Alcoa's plan to expand the Huntly bauxite mine into a new Holyoake mining area.
