About Green Head

Green Head is a coastal town in the Shire of Coorow in the Mid West region of Western Australia, on Indian Ocean Drive between Geraldton and Perth. It grew from a small crayfishing settlement established in the 1950s, when rock lobsters were flown from the local airstrip to Perth; the last crayboat sailed out of Anchorage Bay in 2018. The sheltered, circular Dynamite Bay has been rated among Australia's top 20 beaches.
