About Lynwood (WA)
Lynwood is a southeastern suburb of Perth, about 13 kilometres from the CBD in the City of Canning. Developed in the 1960s by the British firm Realty Development Corporation and marketed to new English migrants as a garden suburb, the area was largely semi-rural before residential subdivision. Parkwood was part of Lynwood until becoming a separate suburb in 1993.
