About Dalkeith
Dalkeith is an affluent riverside suburb of Perth, Western Australia, located within the City of Nedlands and surrounded on three sides by the Swan River. The suburb takes its name from Dalkeith Cottage, built in 1833 by Captain Adam Armstrong, who had managed the Earl of Dalkeith's estate in Scotland. The area is home to Gallop House (c. 1872), the oldest surviving private residence in the City of Nedlands, and the heritage-listed Sunset Hospital site on the riverfront.
