About Abbey
Abbey is a coastal suburb of Busselton in the South West region of Western Australia, located eight kilometres west of Busselton on Geographe Bay. Named after early Irish settler D. Abbey, who arrived in 1841, the suburb was originally part of an area known as Abbeyville. It is the start of Caves Road, the gateway to the Margaret River wine region, and features Newtown House, a heritage-listed limestone Victorian Georgian structure.
