About Warncoort
Warncoort is a rural locality in Colac-Otway Shire, positioned on the Princes Highway between Birregurra and Colac. The locality is the site of Tarndwarncoort, one of Victoria's oldest surviving homesteads built in 1848, where the Dennis family developed the Polwarth sheep breed. The Warrnambool railway line passes through, with surrounding district characterised by sheep grazing, cattle and cropping.
