About Tower Hill
Tower Hill is a dormant nested maar volcano on Victoria's south-west coast, roughly 15 kilometres north-west of Warrnambool. Its three-kilometre-wide crater contains a lake surrounded by scoria cones and wetlands that support kangaroos, koalas and emus. The site is of international geological significance and holds deep cultural importance for the Gunditjmara people, whose oral traditions describe the ancient eruption.
