About Southern Cross (Vic.)
Southern Cross is a rural locality in the Shire of Moyne in south-west Victoria, about 16 kilometres north-west of Warrnambool and east of Koroit. The settlement grew as a service stop on the road between the two towns, and the former Southern Cross Hotel, built in 1875, lost its licence in 1918 and now stands as a private building.
