About Tahara Bridge
Tahara Bridge is a small rural locality in the Glenelg Shire of western Victoria, set on the fertile Tahara plateau near the Wannon River. The name derives from the Tahara pastoral run taken up in 1838, thought to come from an Aboriginal word for spring. The nearby village of Tahara had a hotel from the 1860s and a school until 1949.
