About Ombersley
Ombersley is a sparsely settled pastoral locality in the Otway hinterland of south-western Victoria, straddling Colac Otway and Surf Coast Shires, about 30 kilometres north-east of Colac. The area features undulating volcanic country and is home to two historic homesteads, Mount Hesse from 1856 and Mountside from 1876, both National Trust-classified, and includes Mount Gellibrand, an extinct scoria volcano.
