About Jeparit
Jeparit is a town on the Wimmera River in north-western Victoria, about 370 km from Melbourne. It is the birthplace of Sir Robert Menzies, Australia's longest-serving prime minister and the founder of the Liberal Party, who was born there in 1894; a memorial spire in the town square honours him. The town lies near Lake Hindmarsh, Victoria's largest natural freshwater lake when full.
