About Gil Gil
Gil Gil is a small rural locality in the Shire of Buloke, located in the Mallee region of north-western Victoria approximately 238 kilometres from Melbourne. One of Victoria's reduplicated place names, the area is characterised by broad-acre wheat and sheep farming on the flat, semi-arid Mallee landscape. With a 2021 population of just 23, it remains a sparsely settled agricultural district.
