About Merrimu
Merrimu is a rural locality in the Shire of Moorabool, about 70 kilometres north-west of Melbourne on an elevated plateau with rolling hills and views to Bacchus Marsh. The Long Forest Nature Conservation Reserve on its eastern boundary is an ecological island supporting over 400 native plant species and 160 bird species. A precinct structure plan is being prepared for future housing development on agricultural land in the area.
