About Narre Warren North
Narre Warren North is a semi-rural suburb in the City of Casey in Melbourne's south-east. The original Narre Warren township stood here until the railway arrived in 1883, when the town centre shifted about two kilometres south and the old settlement became known as Narre Warren North. It retains orchards, dairying and market gardens, and is home to The Grange, an 1862 homestead where artist Arthur Boyd painted frescoes in 1949.
