About Koo Wee Rup
Koo Wee Rup (/ˌkuː ˌwiː ˈrʌp/) is a town in Victoria, Australia, 63 km south-east of Melbourne's central business district and located within the Shire of Cardinia local government area. Koo-Wee-Rup is an aboriginal word for "blackfish swimming". Originally marshland, the Koo-Wee-Rup Swamp[a] area was transformed, over ninety years, into productive market gardens.
