About Coldstream (Vic.)
Coldstream is a town in the Yarra Ranges of Victoria, about 36 km north-east of Melbourne, beyond the metropolitan Urban Growth Boundary. It lies in the Yarra Valley wine region and is the home of Coldstream Hills, the winery founded by wine writer James Halliday in 1985, which specialises in pinot noir and chardonnay.
