About Bulla (Vic.)
Bulla is a town in the City of Hume in Victoria, about 23 kilometres north-west of central Melbourne, on the edge of the metropolitan area. The township sits in the valley of Deep Creek, a tributary of the Maribyrnong River, and is spanned by a heritage-listed bluestone bridge built in 1869. First settled in 1843 by William Tulip Wright, a former chief constable of Melbourne, Bulla takes its name from an Aboriginal word meaning two.
