About Woodleigh (Vic.)
Woodleigh is a small rural locality in the Bass Coast Shire of Victoria, located approximately 90 kilometres south-east of Melbourne in the South Gippsland region near the Bass River. The area is predominantly agricultural with beef and dairy cattle farming as the main industries. The locality developed around the Woodleigh railway station on the Wonthaggi line, which operated from 1910 until its closure in 1978.
