About Pioneer Bay
Pioneer Bay is a small coastal village on the western shore of Western Port Bay in the Bass Coast Shire, about 98 kilometres south-east of Melbourne. The flat coastal plains feature sandy beaches, mangroves and low-lying wetlands adjacent to Ramsar-listed wetlands, and the area is a quiet seaside community focused on fishing, boating and waterfront living. The Bunurong people are the traditional owners.
